Important Free Meal Status Change

Attention FCSD#2 Households:

The waivers for free student meals will end on June 30, 2022.

Please complete the current 2021–2022 free/reduced meal application and submit it before May 27, 2022. If approved, this may assist your household in paying for school meals for the first 30 school days of the 2022–2023 school year, October 6, 2022.

The 2022–2023 free/reduced meal application will be available to households to complete after July 1, 2022. Applications will be available online and mailed to households prior to school starting.

We realize this will be a difficult time for some families. School meals have not been an expense for two years. Please take the time to complete the free/reduced application. Many families qualify for the benefits of reduced-priced meals and don’t realize it. Reduced-price breakfast is only $0.30, and lunch is $0.40.

Contact Nurse Hinkle if you have any questions or need assistance completing the free/reduced application. Do not wait until the first day of the 2022–2023 school year to complete and submit the application. Charges for meals will start at breakfast on August 23, 2022.
