Guidance Counselor
Hi! My name is Karen Chandler, and I am the school counselor at Dubois K–12 School. I have served in a variety of educational roles within FCSD #2, including school board trustee and academic interventionist. I worked in mental health counseling prior to moving to Wyoming, and am excited to combine my first professional passion with my commitment to education in Dubois. It is my goal to support all students to grow and mature into successful and productive young adults who are college/career ready. My commitment as a school counselor is to help support students in becoming the best they can be by providing academic and social/emotional support services. I provide weekly guidance lessons for individuals to develop skills for dealing with an array of issues that can impede academic success. I also coordinate post-secondary planning for our high school students, assisting with ACT testing, FAFSA-financial aid, and knowledge of a variety of local and regional scholarships.

- I most recently completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement from the University of Wyoming.
