Pre-K and Preschool

Fremont County School District #2 also provides a free pre-kindergarten and preschool program for any child who resides in our school district and will be three or four years old on or before August 1.

Our mission is to:

  • Prepare curriculum and lessons based on Wyoming Early Learning Standards/or Head Starts in the preparation of kindergarten readiness skills.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district pre-k curriculum.
  • To create a play-based classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

The pre-kindergarten class (four to five year old’s) follows the regular FCSD #2 school calendar and runs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. This will be PK–5th grade core language arts and math and the Wonders: Social Emotional, play- based education. Breakfast and lunch are included. A snack will be provided in the afternoon.

Preschool (three to four year old’s) also follows the FCSD #2 school calendar and will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This will be “Frog Street, play -based education.” Preschool will hold a first come first serve afternoon program for $100 a month, from noon to 3:15 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Our school breakfast and lunch program will be available for families, but they must fill out the application. All students will be potty-trained before they attend either the three or four-year-old program. Please, please let us know if your child is receiving outside services for speech or any other developmental services.

Requirements for registration include:

  • Preschool enrollment form
  • Student health information form
  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization record
  • Student health information form
  • Copy of Social Security card

Birth certificate, Social Security, and immunization records must be turned in to the school within thirty days of school starting. Please see below for registration information:
